Coachella Arrests

More than 200 people were arrested at Coachella 2026, many arrests involving possession of controlled substances. Even a “simple possession” case can carry serious consequences, including probation, fines, immigration issues, employment problems, licensing concerns, and a criminal record. Obviously, those caught selling to an undercover officer are facing felony charges. As usual, DON’T TALK TO POLICE.

These cases are very fact-specific. Defenses include attacking the search, detention and probable cause for the arrest. Other arguments relate to who actually possessed the substance and whether the quantity was enough to prove possession for sales. Depending on the facts, diversion or other alternatives may be available.

A festival arrest can follow you long after the weekend ends. Speak with a criminal defense attorney before going to court or talking to police.
