Discovery Process
Criminal defense work involves much more than the time spent in the courtroom. Most of the work in a criminal case occurs in the office, in front of a computer screen. One of the more time consuming tasks is the discovery process. Discovery is generally where we find our defenses and ammunition for negotiations with the DA’s Office.
Sometimes just getting the discovery turned over can be a challenge. Once it is in our possession we spend hours reviewing discovery, ensuring the allegations are supported by legally obtained evidence and determining what additional evidence or discovery is needed.
