Now what? If an officer searches your car after you have told them “no,” stand quietly and observe. Remember, it is very possible that a jury will later see the body camera footage. You want to appear as the innocent person whose rights are being violated— not argumentative or abrasive.
There are several exceptions that may allow officers to search a vehicle, and you do not want to argue the law on the side of the road.
